Fabrication Fitter
The Fabrication Fitter is responsible for assembling, fitting, and welding stainless steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications to produce high-quality fabricated parts and assemblies. This position requires strong technical skills in metal fabrication, precision measuring, and a solid understanding of stainless steel materials and fabrication techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Cut and fit various diameters of tubing and fittings to meet customer specifications
Accurately use measuring devices such as calipers, height gauges, and tape measures
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
Perform fabrication and assembly tasks safely and efficiently
Assist in developing and refining designs for welding projects
Operate a variety of tools and equipment used in metal fabrication
Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
Qualifications
Ability to read and use basic measuring tools
Experience cutting, forming, and fitting tubing and related components
Strong Math Skills Preferred
Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Work Environment & Conditions
Fast-paced production environment requiring standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
May involve exposure to noise, heat, and other typical shop conditions
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Regular and consistent attendance is required
