Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for
- Developing comprehensive, detailed, and well-organized estimates and proposals in response to RFI and RFP's.
- Analyzing and comprehending project plans, requirements, and specifications.
- Managing the bid process and strategy, including reviewing and evaluating bid documents, estimating the cost of projects, and preparing bid packages.
- Collaborating with project management teams to track and analyze project costs, manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Utilizing your knowledge of drywall to accurately estimate project costs.
- Performing risk and contract management responsibilities as required.
- Providing detailed reports to the project team and management on project financials, implementation progress, and risk analysis.
To be considered for the Estimator role, you must have
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the Construction industry.
- Proven experience with the bid process, big packages, cost estimation, project management, RFI process, and drywall.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.
- Proficiency in relevant software programs, including cost estimation and project management software.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- The capacity to work independently, as well as part of a team.
