The Estimator will play a critical role in preparing thorough, competitive cost estimates that guide project planning and bidding. You will analyze architectural and engineering drawings, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and compile detailed proposals. Collaborating closely with project managers and field teams, you will ensure accurate budgets and cost control from preconstruction through project completion. This position offers the chance to influence project success at an innovative company that supports employee growth and technical excellence.Responsibilities: Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractor and supplier bids and proposals Prepare detailed, accurate bid packages and proposals for educational and public-sector projects Develop preliminary schedules and budgets to support project planning Collaborate with project management, operations, and engineering teams to refine scope and costs Analyze historical data and market trends to maintain competitive pricing models Assist in value engineering and risk assessment processes Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders regarding estimates and project requirements Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and correspondenceQualifications: 3 years of estimating experience with educational construction projects (DSA/K-12) Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs relevant to public-sector building projects Proven ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and prepare competitive bids Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers, including bid solicitation and evaluation Familiarity with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office SuiteInterested in hearing more?
