Director of Service – Building Automation
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
Position: Full-Time | Leadership

About the Role: A growing building automation organization is seeking an experienced Director of Service to lead its Dallas-area service operations. This individual will oversee the service team, customer relationships, financial performance, and continued growth of the department.
We’re looking for a proven BAS/controls leader with strong operational and technical experience. Data center or similar mission-critical facility experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the BAS/DDC service team
• Oversee day-to-day service operations, scheduling, manpower, and customer support
• Own department revenue, profitability, forecasting, budgets, and P&L performance
• Grow service agreements, preventative maintenance, retrofits, upgrades, and recurring revenue
• Maintain relationships with key customers and oversee escalation of complex service issues
• Establish KPIs and improve overall service quality, efficiency, and profitability
• Partner with sales, projects, and engineering teams to support continued growth
  

Qualifications

• 8 years of BAS/BMS, DDC, or HVAC controls experience
• Previous service leadership experience, ideally at the Director, Regional Manager, or Senior Service Manager level
• Data center or comparable mission-critical experience required
• Experience leading and developing technical service teams
• Strong understanding of P&L, budgeting, forecasting, margins, and operational performance
• Experience with BAS service agreements, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, retrofits, and upgrades
• Familiarity with major BAS platforms such as Niagara, Schneider Electric, JCI, Siemens, Distech, ALC, Honeywell, Trane, or similar
  

The Opportunity: This is a high-impact leadership role with ownership over a growing service organization. The Director of Service will have significant influence over team development, customer strategy, operational performance, and long-term service growth.
