Job Details
We're seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator and Machinist who takes pride in precision work and thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This position offers the opportunity to own the machining process from end to end, encompassing programming, setup, and inspection.
Programming & Setup
Develop and optimize CNC programs for fiber laser cutting and press brake forming using CAD/CAM software and machine controls.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine setup and tooling requirements.
Set up machines, including fixtures, tooling, and parameters.
Conduct test runs and first-article inspections to verify accuracy.
Operation & Production
Operate CNC fiber laser and press brake machinery to fabricate precision components.
Run manual equipment (lathes, mills, angle rolls, and mandrel benders) for specialty or one-off projects.
Adjust settings and tooling offsets to maintain consistent part quality.
Quality Standards & Training
Help develop shop standards for tolerances and inspection.
Train team members on measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, and height gauges).
Perform in-process and final inspections, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
CAD Modeling & Engineering Support
Assist with 3D modeling and drafting of parts and assemblies (Onshape or equivalent).
Modify existing designs for manufacturability and provide feedback to the engineering team.
Qualifications
3 years of experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
Hands-on experience with fiber laser and/or press brake machinery.
Strong knowledge of G-code, CAD/CAM software, and blueprint interpretation.
Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and precision measurement tools.
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
Willingness to collaborate and train others in a team-oriented shop environment.
