We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled CMM Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the highest level of precision and accuracy in our manufacturing processes. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering top-quality products and maintaining our competitive edge in the industry. Responsibilities:
1. Develop, maintain and implement CMM programs for the inspection of manufactured and procured components using ZEISS and FARO software.
2. Perform detailed mechanical inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to specified dimensions and tolerances.
3. Conduct regular calibration of measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate readings and measurements.
4. Work closely with the Quality Control team to enforce adherence to AS9102 standards and other relevant quality system requirements.
5. Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications and apply them to inspection procedures.
6. Generate and maintain precise and detailed inspection reports and documentation.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on CMM programming and precision measurement.
8. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
9. Continually review and improve CMM programming processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in CMM programming, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in ZEISS and FARO CMM software.
4. In-depth knowledge of AS9102, Quality Control, Calibration, Precision Measurement, Mechanical Inspection, and GD&T Fundamentals.
5. Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other quality standards is a plus.
10. Certification in CMM programming or related field is desirable.
