We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CMM Programmer/Quality Lead to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining our commitment to producing high-quality products. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming our Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and leading quality control initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time position, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CMM Programmer/Quality Lead to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining our commitment to producing high-quality products. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming our Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and leading quality control initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time position, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Program, operate, and maintain CMM machines using PC-DMIS software.
- Conduct precision measurements and mechanical inspections to ensure product quality.
- Lead and manage the quality control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards in compliance with ISO and IATF standards.
- Prepare and manage PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) documentation.
- Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for product design and analysis.
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) fundamentals to ensure accurate measurements.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor, control, and optimize the production process.
- Collaborate with the production team to implement process improvements and troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct calibration of equipment and maintain calibration records.
- Lead and participate in Six Sigma projects and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all quality-related activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with PC-DMIS, Zeiss, and other CMM programming software.
- Strong knowledge of metrology and precision measurement techniques.
- Experience with quality control standards and procedures, including ISO and IATF.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with GD&T fundamentals.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and mechanical inspection.
- Six Sigma certification or experience with Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
