Position Summary
The Civil Designer will support residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional land development projects by preparing design plans, technical drawings, and project exhibits. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong AutoCAD experience and a solid understanding of site development principles.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare site layout and land development plans for a variety of project types.
Design utility systems including storm drainage, water, sewer, and dry utility/conduit systems.
Perform site grading design with consideration for ADA compliance requirements.
Create technical exhibits, diagrams, and visual presentations to support project deliverables.
Assist with the preparation of design specifications and construction documents.
Coordinate project tasks to ensure designs meet established project criteria and timelines.
Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
Minimum Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in civil engineering design, site development, or land use permitting.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Familiarity with standard engineering and design software platforms.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and technical design skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Civil 3D.
Familiarity with MicroStation.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
