Job Details
Join a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health system committed to delivering exceptional surgical care across a wide range of specialties. As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), you’ll play a vital role in supporting safe, efficient, and compassionate care within a modern, team-oriented perioperative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and ready for use.
Assist surgeons and registered nurses during procedures by anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field.
Count instruments, sponges, and sharps before, during, and after surgery to maintain strict accountability and patient safety.
Handle specimens properly and ensure accurate labeling and transport.
Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety protocols.
Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives within the surgical services department.
Support the orientation and mentoring of new team members and students as needed.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
Current BLS certification required (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
One year of surgical experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to teamwork.
