Responsibilities
As a Business Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Representing clients in all stages of business disputes, from initial case evaluation and strategy development, through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.
- Handling complex litigation matters involving real estate disputes, breach of contract, trade secrets, intellectual property, and securities litigation.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategies and advise clients.
- Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients, where appropriate, to avoid litigation or to resolve disputes favorably and efficiently.
- Working collaboratively with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide excellent service to clients.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting business litigation.
To be considered for this role, you must have
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation, with a strong focus on real estate disputes, breach of contract, trade secrets, intellectual property, and securities litigation.
- Excellent litigation skills, including experience in trial advocacy, deposition, discovery, and motion practice.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with attention to detail and deadlines.
