We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position where you will play a vital role in our accounting department. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial functions, including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable. Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Accounting Clerk, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Processing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all transactions.
2. Managing billing processes, creating and sending out invoices, following up on unpaid accounts, and resolving any billing issues.
3. Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
4. Assisting with financial audits, compliance, and tax filings.
5. Providing support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.
6. Creating and updating expense reports.
7. Preparing financial statements and reports.
8. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
9. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes.
10. Interacting with customers and vendors as necessary, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. An associate's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the automotive or engineering industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
11. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
