The selected individual will be responsible for representing our clients in various legal proceedings, providing advice on legal rights and obligations, and ensuring the legality of our business practices and transactions. As an Attorney, your primary duties will include
- Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
- Selecting jurors, arguing motions, meeting with judges, and questioning witnesses during the course of a trial.
- Studying and interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Presenting and summarizing cases to judges and juries.
- Preparing legal briefs and opinions, and filing appeals in federal and state courts of appeal.
- Analyzing probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
- Negotiating settlements of civil disputes.
- Conducting legal research and gathering evidence.
- Ensuring that all work complies with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Advising clients concerning business transactions, claim liabilities, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
To be considered for the Attorney position, you must possess the following
- A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in general liability and civil litigation.
- Excellent knowledge of law, legal procedures, and court systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
