We are seeking a highly skilled Locum General Surgeon to join our dynamic medical team. The successful candidate will be involved in performing a wide range of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the advancement of surgical procedures and techniques. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who is passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of patients through surgical intervention. The Locum General Surgeon will be responsible for performing surgeries with the flexibility to manage their schedule and caseload.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative consultations to discuss the potential risks and benefits of surgical intervention.
• Perform a wide array of general surgeries while adhering to the highest standards of medical practice.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and execute complex surgeries.
• Monitor patients' recovery, and provide appropriate post-operative care and advice.
• Work closely with the medical team to ensure the quality of care, patient safety, and continuity of services.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in general surgery and integrate them into surgical procedures when applicable.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those regarding patient confidentiality and informed consent.
• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery.
• Proven experience in various surgical procedures, including preoperative and post-operative care.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Exceptional decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous education and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
