Responsibilities
As a Consulting Speech Language Pathologist, your primary responsibilities will include
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language skills, and identifying areas of improvement.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address students' specific needs and goals.
- Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students using evidence-based techniques and strategies.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and at home.
- Tracking and documenting students' progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Providing education and training to school staff and parents on how to support students' speech and language development.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and plan for their future needs.
- Staying updated with the latest research and developments in speech-language pathology to ensure the use of best practices.
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- A valid Colorado State SLP license.
- A minimum of 1 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting.
- Excellent knowledge of various speech disorders and language impairments, as well as effective treatment strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- A strong commitment to improving students' speech and language skills, and helping them achieve their goals.
- The ability to work independently, manage a caseload effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using computer software and technology for documentation and communication.
