Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to evaluate and optimize the organization’s current accounting system (PBS). The consultant will analyze existing processes, identify opportunities for automation and efficiency, and recommend best practices to maximize the functionality and effectiveness of the system. This role will collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and improved accounting workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current accounting system (PBS), including general ledger, reporting, and transactional workflows.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for automation or enhanced system utilization.
Develop actionable recommendations to improve system functionality, streamline processes, and increase productivity.
Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to implement recommended improvements.
Assist with training and change management to ensure successful adoption of new processes and system capabilities.
Document system processes, workflows, and best practices for ongoing reference and compliance.
Provide strategic guidance on leveraging PBS to support reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounting system optimization, ERP/DMS systems, or finance process consulting.
Hands-on experience with PBS or similar dealer management/accounting systems is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Experience in automation, workflow optimization, and system integration is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering actionable results.
