Faculty Position in Periodontology

Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified individual for a full-time clinical-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Endodontics. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-clinical, clinical and didactic teaching of all aspects of periodontics at the dental student and periodontics resident levels.

Main Responsibilities

The selected candidate will support the school's compliance with best practices, demonstrate growth in pedagogical skills and an aptitude for scholarship, serve on select school committees, engage in school governance and participate in the school's affiliated faculty practice.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
DDS/DMD degree from a CODA-accredited dental school/college or international equivalent degree, Certificate from a CODA-accredited Advanced Education Program in Periodontics, Board Certification, or eligibility for American Board of Periodontology certification, Possess, or be eligible, for a New York State Dental license.

Preferred Qualifications:
Didactic and/or clinical teaching experience at a CODA-accredited dental school/college or hospital setting, Advanced degrees (e.g., MS and/or PhD in a related field), A record of research and/or scholarly activity, Participation in organized dentistry at the local, state or national level.
