Manager, Case Management FVR
The individual in this position supports the Director of Case Management (DCM) in the hospital utilization performance improvement and operational management of the Case Management Department. The goal is to promote effective utilization of hospital resources, ensure process support for appropriate reimbursement for services rendered, support efficient patient throughput, and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to case management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support DCM in implementing and overseeing the hospital Utilization Management Plan using data to drive hospital utilization performance improvement.
- Evaluate medical necessity review processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with CMS regulations and Tenet policy.
- Ensure timely and effective patient transition and planning to support efficient patient throughput.
- Collaborate with physicians, office staff, and ancillary departments.
- Assist DCM with onboarding new employees and educating staff.
- Support coaching and performance management of staff with DCM.
Requirements:
- Three years of experience in acute care case management or utilization review.
- Excellent organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and computer literacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
