Aquatics Director role at the Northumberland Family YMCA. We are seeking an experienced Aquatics Director to lead our aquatics programs for youth through senior age groups, ensuring a safe aquatic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement aquatics programs that promote character development and values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Lead a team of staff/volunteers to deliver high-quality programs and services that focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure staff certifications are up-to-date.
- Ensure pool area, facilities, and filtration systems are well-maintained.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in pool management and operations, with a history of aquatics programming experience.
- Certifications in Lifeguarding, Lifeguard Instructor, and YMCA Swimming Instructor.
- Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
