Maintenance Technician
Schedule

- Overtime and on-call work required
Job Summary
Responsible for performing electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs, as well as troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery and equipment throughout the facility.
Core Functions
- Perform electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic issues; repair or replace equipment as needed.
- Perform fabrication and preventative maintenance.
- Obtain and safely operate a forklift (forklift operator's license required).
- Cut and join ferrous and nonferrous metal parts using a variety of fabrication techniques.
- Weld and cut various materials using electric arc, oxyacetylene, and other welding processes in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Maintain company-provided tools and supply personal tools required for the position.
- Enter equipment records, maintenance data, and repair notes into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Read technical drawings and schematics, troubleshoot equipment, and complete repairs independently.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read a tape measure, perform basic mathematical calculations, and use a calculator.
- Ability to learn production operations.
- Ability to safely troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, controls, devices, and machinery.
- Basic knowledge of:
- CNC controls, functions, and operation
- AC and DC drives
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Hydraulic diagrams
- Pneumatic diagrams
- Mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Work is performed in a loud, industrial, and non-temperature-controlled environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Regularly required to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Talk and hear clearly
- Lift up to 55 lbs.
- Use hands for handling, gripping, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and stoop
- Occasionally required to:
- Sit
- Climb
- Crawl
- Work is primarily performed around operating machinery and moving vehicles.
