Purpose Statement
The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all plant equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance. Positions are available on 2nd and 3rd shift.
Shift Details & Pay:
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM — $33.50/hr
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM — $34.00/hr
Key Accountabilities & Outcomes
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses maintenance failures.
- Uses assembly drawings, P&IDs, and manuals to tune equipment; applies electrical (VFDs, SCRs, motor starters) and logic (PLC, SLC) principles to resolve issues.
- Utilizes basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facility/building maintenance skills.
- Works with devices such as gauges, RTDs, pressure transmitters, I/Ps, and vortex flow meters.
- Trains new associates and team members on required maintenance skills.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area following GMP and safety guidelines.
- Operates SCADA systems and completes necessary documentation.
- Performs duties assigned by the Team Leader.
- Supports Operations by assisting with troubleshooting and production needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years of experience in food processing with troubleshooting and repair of production equipment using sophisticated control systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to train associates in maintenance operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a self-directed team environment.
- Proficiency in SCADA system operation.
- General mechanical knowledge plus understanding of electrical and logic principles.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, metalworking, and facility/building maintenance.
- Ability to follow Associate Safety, GMP, and Food Safety guidelines.
- Understanding of proper machine operation and adjustment procedures.
- Ability to contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement, and Temporary Teams as assigned.
Salary : $34 - $34
