Essential Functions Of Position
- Serve as go-to source for all employees concerning benefits, compensation, and other employee issues
- Assist with reviewing and routing qualified resumes to appropriate department(s) as well as setting up interviews with prospects
- Participate in all interviews for potential new hires with Human Resources Manager
- Help with new hire orientation and onboarding processes
- Coordinate and process weekly plant payroll to corporate payroll department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Human resource principles, basic legal requirements and best practices
- Basic payroll principles
- An HRIS program
- Computer programs such as MS Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Internet Explorer
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate to different functions of the organization with the appropriate level of detail
- Active listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, asking appropriate questions and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- Analyzing data and situations accurately with a strong attention to detail in order to develop the proper course of action needed to be taken
- Efficient problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Organization and improving processes for efficiency
- Time management
- Prioritize, accurately multi-task and adhere to any deadlines set
- Learn in a fast paced and friendly environment
- Degree in Human Resources or related field and minimum 1 year of relevant human resources experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of relevant human resources experience
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
