Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service role, preferably within a dietary department or fine dining restaurant.
