Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! Jo Jo Macs is a fun chill kitchen with little drama looking for someone who can throw down great food while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will have the opportunity to create specials and make decisions along with the rest of the team to help make this company grow. Have reliable transportation and being on time is a must. this is a morning shift 9am-3pm weekdays and 8am-3pm weekends. 5 days a week.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with menu planning by preparing components for specials and regular offerings
- Ensure food safety and proper handling of all ingredients in compliance with health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
- Follow food industry best practices for food preparation, cooking, and serving
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently prepare ingredients for various dishes
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-pressure setting while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests professionally
