What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asbestos Microscopist position at JMS Environmental Associates, Ltd.?
An experienced asbestos microscopist to work in existing Chicagoland laboratory.
Duties include daily bulk material identification and quality control samples utilizing polarized light microscopy (PLM) and phase contracts microscopy (PCM).
If no direct experience, entry level position is available, but at a lesser pay rate.
Position would be at a fixed location at our laboratory in the western Chicago suburbs.
Poistion would require minimum of a bachelor degree in science. Graduate degrees are welcomed and encouraged.
Looking to fill position in October/November 2026.
As required by NIST-NVLAB accreditation, onsite laboratory training will be administered following hiring.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
