A prominent manufacturer in the semiconductors industry is seeking a Process Engineering Manager in the Frederick, Maryland area.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for optimizing production processes, leading engineering initiatives, and implementing best-in-class process control methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process design, development, scale-up, and optimization initiatives within a manufacturing environment
- Drive continuous improvement efforts using data-driven methodologies and lean principles
- Implement and manage Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Critical to Quality (CTQ) frameworks
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, and leadership teams to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality
- Mentor and develop process engineering talent while establishing best practices across the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required
- 7 years of progressive experience in process engineering or process control within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of leading process design, scale-up, and optimization initiatives
- Strong experience in SPC, CTQ, and data-driven process improvement methodologies
- Background in plastics extrusion or similar manufacturing processes is highly preferred
Preferred Background:
- Experience in building materials, plastics, or related manufacturing industries
- Prior leadership experience managing or mentoring engineering teams
- Demonstrated success improving process stability, throughput, and product quality
