Route Sales Representative (Columbia, South Carolina)
We are seeking a Route Sales Technician to manage sales and service of material handling equipment, parts, and services within an assigned territory in the Columbia, South Carolina Region. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships across industries such as food & beverage distribution, parcel delivery, healthcare, logistics, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Travel within the territory to service and sell equipment, parts, and solutions.
- Inspect and maintain customer equipment, providing recommendations or quotes.
- Prospect and develop new business through cold calls, demonstrations, and lead generation.
- Manage inventory, documentation, and expense reporting.
- Ensure professional representation and commitment to safety at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; DOT medical clearance required.
- 3–5 years of sales and/or service experience with strong customer interaction skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience assembling or repairing equipment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel overnight and manage a territory independently.
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
