Title: Manufacturing Engineer – SMT/Electronics Manufacturing
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite – 2nd Shift)

About the role
Join a high-performance electronics manufacturing team focused on SMT production and continuous process improvement. This role is responsible for optimizing surface mount technology (SMT) operations, enhancing soldering processes, and driving efficiency across manufacturing workflows while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support SMT manufacturing processes, including solder paste printing, component placement, and reflow operations
- Assist in operating and maintaining SMT equipment such as printers, pick-and-place machines, and inspection systems
- Drive process optimization initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality
- Support soldering and conformal coating operations, including selective soldering and underfill processes
- Troubleshoot SMT production issues and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Monitor and support inspection processes, including AOI and X-ray systems
- Assist with depaneling and press-fit equipment operations
- Ensure adherence to IPC standards and overall manufacturing quality requirements
- Maintain and update manufacturing process documentation and work instructions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow, efficiency, and process reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering)
- 3–5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
- Strong experience with SMT manufacturing processes
- Experience with SMT equipment including:
- Solder Paste Printers (MPM or Ekra)
- Solder Paste Inspection (Koh Young)
- Component Placement (Mycronic or Fuji)
Compensation
- Estimated hourly range: $38–$40/hr (W-2)
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
- Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM start), 9/80 schedule
- Work Schedule: 100% Onsite
