About the role
This role supports electronics manufacturing operations with a focus on SMT process execution and optimization. The engineer will work across SMT production equipment, ensuring adherence to IPC standards and supporting manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and optimize SMT processes including Solder Paste Printing (MPM, Ekra), SPI (Koh Young), Component Placement (Mycronic, Fuji), Reflow (BTU), AOI (Koh Young), and X-Ray (Nordson, Omron)
- Apply and ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
- Perform soldering and support process optimization within electronics manufacturing
- Work with Selective Soldering (ERSA), Depaneling (G-Tech), and Press Fit equipment
- Support Conformal Coating (Nordson), Underfill, and Plasma Cleaning processes
- Utilize Factory Logix (MES) for manufacturing execution and tracking
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with SMT equipment and processes
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
- Experience with soldering and conformal coating processes
- Familiarity with Factory Logix (MES)
- Engineering degree
