About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Scientist – Bioanalysis to support bioanalytical activities for drug discovery and development programs. This role will primarily focus on LC-MS/MS analysis, wet-lab sample preparation, analytical method development, data processing, and scientific reporting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with cross-functional scientific teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct bioanalytical activities supporting drug discovery and development studies.
- Perform hands-on LC-MS/MS analysis, including wet-lab sample preparation and sample cleanup.
- Develop, optimize, and implement project-specific analytical methods.
- Design and execute experiments in accordance with established project plans and scientific objectives.
- Process, analyze, and interpret scientific data and verify results against established criteria.
- Document experimental procedures, data, and results and prepare technical and scientific reports.
- Manage assigned technical projects and activities with minimal supervision, while meeting quality and project timelines.
- Conduct literature reviews and apply current scientific methodologies to experimental design and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders and scientific partners.
- Ensure high standards of technical quality, data integrity, documentation, and compliance with applicable procedures.
- Support continuous improvement of bioanalytical processes, methodologies, and scientific practices.
- Train and provide technical guidance to junior scientific staff as assigned.
- Effectively manage priorities, timelines, and multiple technical activities in a fast-paced research environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Bioanalytical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS and bioanalytical laboratory techniques.
- Strong experience with wet-lab sample preparation, sample cleanup, and bioanalytical workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in analytical or bioanalytical method development.
- Experience supporting drug discovery and/or drug development programs.
- Ability to independently plan and execute technical assignments with minimal supervision.
- Strong ability to process, interpret, and communicate scientific data.
- Experience with technical documentation, data processing, and scientific report writing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and task-prioritization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary scientific teams.
- Previous experience training or providing technical direction to junior staff is preferred.
Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):
- Estimated hourly range: $65–$68/hr (W-2).
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
