About the Role
Join a collaborative preclinical research team supporting in vivo drug discovery programs focused on obesity and cardiometabolic diseases. This hands-on role involves independently planning, executing, and analyzing rodent studies that advance therapeutic research.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze in vivo studies using mouse and rat models.
- Perform rodent handling, SC, PO, IP, and IV dosing, blood collection, and necropsy.
- Develop and optimize study protocols, document results in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN), and ensure data integrity.
- Interpret experimental data, prepare reports, and present findings to the research team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional scientists and support multiple drug discovery projects.
- Participate in shared weekend responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant in vivo research experience.
- Hands-on experience with mouse/rat handling, rodent dosing, blood collection, and necropsy.
- Proven ability to independently execute preclinical in vivo studies from protocol development through data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with experience maintaining accurate laboratory documentation.
- Experience with BIODAQ or Sable metabolic cage systems is a plus.
- Rodent surgical experience is desirable.
Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):
- Estimated hourly range: $55- $60.00/hr (W-2).
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
