Location: Warwick, RI (Hybrid – Remote Monday & Friday | Onsite Tuesday–Thursday)
Employment Type: Contract (4–5 Months)

About the role
We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) / Budget & Forecasting Consultant to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives for a dynamic finance team. This role will partner with business leaders to develop budgets, perform financial analysis, prepare management reports, and provide insights that support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate has strong FP&A experience, advanced Excel skills, and a solid understanding of corporate finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Prepare and analyze departmental budgets and financial reports.
- Develop management reports, dashboards, and variance analyses.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Perform financial modeling and ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives.
- Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to improve budgeting processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Budgeting, Forecasting, or Corporate Finance.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with financial modeling and data analysis experience.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive Insights).
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP or similar financial systems.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
- Experience preparing financial statements and journal entries.
Salary : $45 - $50
