About the role
Seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of complex medical instruments within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
This role will focus on electrical and electronic hardware design, power systems, PCB/PCBA development, prototype testing, and manufacturing support for advanced instrumentation products.
Key Responsibilities
Design electrical and electronic hardware for complex medical instruments
Support engineering project assignments involving power systems, PCBA design, cable design, and EMC-related activities
Determine design requirements and recommend appropriate system architecture and technical solutions
Develop schematics, simulations, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation
Evaluate design feasibility, analyze alternatives, and ensure technical soundness of designs
Perform digital and analog circuit design activities
Support PCB and schematic design activities while coordinating with fabrication and manufacturing teams
Develop and execute experiments, testing procedures, and prototype evaluations
Assist in transitioning products from development into manufacturing and production environments
Provide technical support during manufacturing and resolve design-related issues
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation
Contribute to project planning, risk evaluation, and process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to solve complex technical problems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
5 years of experience in electrical engineering and electronic hardware design
Experience designing hardware for medical devices, defense systems, or automation products preferred
Strong experience with digital and analog circuit design
Hands-on experience with PCB/PCBA and schematic design
Experience with FPGA and VHDL preferred
Knowledge of EMC/EMI standards, grounding, shielding, and power system design
Experience with cable and cable harness design preferred
Exposure to electromechanical systems including stepper and servo motors is a plus
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical documentation skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced onsite engineering environment
Compensation (NH Pay Transparency):
Estimated hourly range: $85–$90/hr (W-2)
Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
