About the role
Join an engineering team supporting hardware validation and board bring-up activities for new carrier card integrations. This role focuses on troubleshooting, design verification, and validating electrical performance to ensure hardware readiness for firmware integration.
This position requires strong experience in board bring-up, hardware debugging, and laboratory test equipment usage within structured engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial board bring-up activities for new hardware and carrier card integrations
- Conduct design verification and validate electrical functionality
- Troubleshoot hardware issues at the component level using systematic debug methodologies
- Analyze power integrity and verify voltage rail sequencing and stability
- Interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and design documentation
- Use laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies
- Validate signal paths, clock distribution, and power delivery systems
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Document test procedures, results, and troubleshooting activities
- Collaborate with firmware, test, and engineering teams during validation activities
- Support readiness of hardware systems for firmware integration
- Apply strong measurement techniques while minimizing noise and loading effects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Required)
- 5 years of hands-on Electrical Engineering experience
- Strong experience with board bring-up and hardware debugging
- Experience performing design verification and validation
- Proficiency using Cadence tools
- Experience using laboratory test equipment including:
- Oscilloscopes
- Multimeters
- Logic analyzers
- Power supplies
- Strong ability to interpret schematics and PCB layouts
- Knowledge of power integrity, signal integrity, and power sequencing
- Experience troubleshooting electrical hardware issues
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a structured engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with power supply design
- Experience with clock distribution and signal integrity
- Experience supporting thermal management validation
- Experience working as an original board designer
- Experience working in defense or aerospace environments
- Experience supporting firmware integration testing
Compensation
- Estimated hourly range: $60/hr (W-2)
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
- Work Schedule: 100% Onsite
Salary : $50 - $60
