Job Title: Facility Technician

Estimated Pay Range: $22.50-$29.50
Approximate Start Date: Field work begins when the snow flies, with some preseason training expected (up to 5 hours).
If you live more than 20 miles from the worksite, mileage beyond that distance is reimbursed at $0.50 per mile. Because we’ve posted this position in areas farther from our worksites, during major winter events overnight accommodations will be provided to ensure team members are close to the site and able to respond quickly. These stays are arranged as needed and typically last 2–6 days.

We’re looking for team members who ideally have experience operating snow plows and/or front-wheel loaders, though it’s not required for all positions. Position Overview:
We are seeking hard-working, reliable individuals to join our growing Facilities Division for the 2025-2026 winter season. This unique opportunity involves manual labor, working outside to remove ice and snow from the tops of tractor trailers at distribution centers. With an average of 100 trailers needing service per day, you’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to safety and efficiency.
We’re looking for team members at various skill levels and experience, such as:
- Plow Truck Operators
- Heavy Equipment Operators
Key Responsibilities:
- You’ll work as part of a team, performing various snow and ice removal tasks to help keep the roads safe:
- Operate Scraper System: Work outside on a platform operating a snow scraper machine.
- Direct Traffic Flow: Guide drivers as they move through the scraper system.
- Snowplow Operation (for qualified operators): Operate pick-up truck with V-Blade snowplow to remove snow from around the scraper systems (only for qualified snowplow operators).
- Heavy Equipment Operation: For qualified operators, use front-wheel loaders with TrucBrush attachments or buckets to safely and efficiently remove snow and ice from tractor trailers.
- Document Service: Keep accurate records for each trailer serviced, including taking photos and filling out required paperwork.
- Great Communication: Due to our weather dependent job positions, it is essential that timely and responsive communication occurs during scheduled work hours and while off duty for scheduling purposes.
- Reliability: Exceptional availability, attendance, and punctuality are critical.
Position-Specific Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Facility Technician - Core Responsibilities for All Team Members
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 40 lbs and perform the physical demands of the job in cold weather conditions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other personnel.
- Teamwork: Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Documentation: Strong attention to detail when filling out required service paperwork.
- Safety First: A commitment to safety above all else.
Snowplow Operator
All Facility Technician qualifications are required along with:
- Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older (required to operate fleet vehicles).
- Driving Record: A clean driving record verified by the DMV.
- Experience: At least 3 years of snowplow operation experience.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the condition of equipment and report any damage or maintenance needs.
- Inspection: Complete necessary equipment inspection checklists before and after use.
Front-Wheel Loader Operator
All Facility Technician and Snow Plow Operator qualifications are required along with:
- Experience: Some loader operation experience necessary.
- Safety Awareness: Maintain constant awareness of other vehicles and pedestrians in the work area.
- Maintenance Checks: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure its safe and efficient operation.
