In this vital role, you will coordinate and support the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of heavy equipment, vehicles, and machinery. - Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for the fleet using digital systems or manual logs.
- Schedule routine maintenance and repairs for heavy equipment, including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, and air brake systems.
- Assist in ordering parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Support technicians by preparing work areas, gathering necessary tools such as power tools and hand tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during repairs.
- Conduct basic diagnostics on vehicles and equipment using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Coordinate with service technicians to facilitate repairs on various machinery including cranes, excavators, tractors, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets.
- Assist with welding, fabrication, tire service, alignment checks, shocks & struts replacement, HVAC servicing, soldering tasks, and other mechanical repairs as needed.
- Support heavy lifting operations safely using appropriate equipment like forklifts or cranes when handling large parts or machinery components.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to vehicle operation, hydraulics systems, electrical systems, and heavy equipment operation.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with internal teams regarding maintenance status or repair timelines.
- Proven experience working in dealership environments or heavy equipment service centers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, diesel engine repair, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes (including air brake systems), hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm or industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and power tools for repairs and assembly tasks.
- Knowledge of tire service procedures and alignment processes.
- Experience performing vehicle maintenance tasks such as shocks & struts replacement or brake repairs.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent organizational skills for maintaining accurate records of work performed.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and support customer service initiatives when needed.
