Our client, BETAH Associates has a requirement for a full-time contract position for a government client based onsite in Washington, DC. This position will support senior government officials in need of emergency management exercise planning and evaluation support for program offices located in Washington, DC.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 8 years of experience planning/executing/evaluating multi-agency/national level continuity-related exercises; joint military training and exercise planning experience is considered relevant experience.
• At least two years of experience with training to include time as an instructor, curriculum development, Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Planning, National Planning Scenarios/National Level Exercises
• Experience supporting Federal government contracts preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent client service and organizational skills
• Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish assigned tasks on time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, coordinate, and assess Department/Financial Sector tailored operational exercises.
• Represent the Department within the interagency and Department of Homeland Security exercise working groups.
• Coordinate Treasury’s participation in exercises consistent with the National Exercise Program.
• Provide recommendations on how to sustain and improve on annual exercise requirements.
• Be responsible for working closely with other Federal, Departmental, and Treasury Bureau Emergency Managers and Coordinators in establishing and maintaining a Multi-Year Exercise and Evaluation Schedule.
• Work closely with the Office of Safety, Health, and Emergency Preparedness to assess Department-wide strategic exercise and evaluation needs.
• Design, develop, conduct, and evaluate interagency and Department-level exercises as well as evaluation activities to include after-action reports and plan audits.
• Maintain a Corrective Action Program to account for after-action items and findings from audits, and coordinate with those responsible to ensure that relevant actions are complete.
• Ensure that adequate resources are available to deliver timely products with dynamic requirements and short lead times.
