What this job involves - The Warehouse Operations Manager will manage and oversee all activities related to shipping/receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials per cGMP procedures and regulations, within multiple systems and/or between multiple sites.

- Manage various critical warehouse operations by building & leading the warehouse operations team, leading operations ramp up strategy & execution, and lead tactical & long-term strategic initiatives to drive production readiness & ramp-up.

- Ensures that materials are received, stored, and distributed according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other applicable regulations and specifications.
- Manage daily plan to exceed expectations for productivity, accuracy, and quality compliance.
- Ensures GMP activities follow approved GMP procedures and are documented according to cGMP and/or GDP requirements. May also execute these GMP tasks.
- Will participate in daily meetings, report adherence to key performance indicators “KPI” and will timely escalate any issues preventing compliance with the required service level or KPI.
- Responsible for ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, and corrected to ensure the safety, purity, quality, and effectiveness of the product(s) manufactured.
- Ensures that staff complete required assigned training prior to performing assigned GMP activities.
- Ensures that non-conformances for areas of responsibility are reported promptly to the Quality unit and investigated per procedures.
- Prepare and participate in regulatory audits and inspections.
- Manage Minor Deviations and ensures that corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA) are managed and closed according to procedures.
- Ensures the requirements of the Quality Management System are fulfilled.
- Supports Continual Improvement initiatives, programs and projects.
- Uses Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Power Point, Project to update metrics and present information.
- Associate’s degree and 2 years of Warehouse Management and/or Material Handling experience OR 4 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Warehouse Management and/or Material Handling experience.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment (pharmaceuticals or biotechnology)
- Basic knowledge of warehouse inventory management, SAP and Microsoft Office
- Understand and carry out to Department of Transportation (DOT) and international shipping requirements (IATA)
- Understanding of Good Distribution Practices
- Knowledgeable of Cold Chain distribution requirement
- Ability to comfortably lift 30lbs
- Ability to operate a forklift or other powered industrial vehicle
- Possess and exhibit good attention to detail
- Able to work standing, walking, or, moving around offices, work site; crawling, crouching, or other non-sitting working positions
