This is a fully onsite position supporting a mission‑critical government operation.

Work Shift: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Must be available for overtime, call‑backs, and coverage as needed.

What your day‑to‑day will look like:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance inspections on building systems including motors, fans, pumps, plumbing, HVAC components, and basic electrical systems.
- Diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently in accordance with SOPs and safety standards.
- Repair, replace, and adjust building fixtures such as doors, hardware, lighting, ceiling and floor tiles, and restroom components.
- Maintain and service custodial and maintenance equipment, including lubrication, belt replacement, and minor mechanical repairs.
- Respond to maintenance requests, emergencies, and after‑hours call‑backs as needed.
- Prepare inspection reports, complete work orders, and document maintenance activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of mechanical spaces and work areas, and assist with inventory tracking and supply ordering.
- 5–10 years of experience in commercial building Operations & Maintenance.
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience in multiple skilled trades, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and responding to corrective maintenance issues.
- Strong attention to safety, regulatory compliance, and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based, regulated environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime, respond to call‑backs, and provide coverage as operational needs require.
- Must be a member of Steamfitters Local 602 union to be considered for this position.
- Experience supporting federal or government facilities.
- Familiarity with work order systems and maintenance documentation.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation components.
- Experience maintaining custodial or floor care equipment.
- OSHA safety training or general safety compliance experience.
- Strong communication and time‑management skills.
- Ability to perform light painting, drywall repair, and minor cosmetic repairs.
