The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, Steam boiler, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.
You will work on-site as part of an engineering team at a 189,334 square-foot industrial building in New Century, KS.
Schedule: 7am – 4pm / Monday – Friday / On call flexibility, in case of Emergencies
Compensation: $30-35 per hour

What You’ll Do
- Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by any licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, Steam boiler, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance
- Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
- Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
- Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, HVAC and pneumatic controls
- Comply with all safety procedures
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
- Other projects and tasks to be assigned
- 3 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
- Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable
- Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort working at height
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
