What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Laborer position at JLH Construction?
Job Summary
We are a small family-owned construction company looking to hire one or two individuals to join our team. We do residential and commercial construction including flatwork, poured concrete walls, seawalls, new construction, demolition, septic systems & more. Work is mainly in the Caseville/Sand Point area, but sometimes farther. Pay is based on experience. Experience not required but recommended.
Duties
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including site cleanup and material organization
- Operate rakes, shovels, hand tools and power tools such as drills and saws to support various tasks
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor for transporting materials like rebar, concrete forms and lumber
- Support site preparation for replacing septic systems, concrete pouring, seawall installation & building construction
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site
Skills
- Ability to follow direction & instructions
- Work with others as a team
- Basic knowledge of manual labor & problem solving
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Must be able to work in all types of weather
