What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Foreman / Utility Foreman position at JLC Excavating?
JLC Excavating, LLC is looking for an experienced Pipe Foreman to join our team. We are seeking someone with hands-on experience in sitework, underground utilities, and dirt work who can lead a crew while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a utility crew on commercial and residential projects.
- Read and interpret plans and grades.
- Install water, sewer, and storm drain utilities.
- Coordinate daily work with operators and laborers.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications.
- Perform quality control and maintain a clean, organized job site.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in underground utilities and sitework.
- Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of water, sewer, and storm utility installation.
- Experience with excavation, grading, and dirt work.
- Ability to read construction plans and grades.
- Valid driver's license required. CDL is a plus.
