Heavy Equipment Mechanic
JLC Excavating is looking for a dependable, experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Pay
$25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative service
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, and mechanical issues
- Replace worn or damaged components
- Maintain accurate repair records
- Inspect equipment for safety and operational concerns
- Work with management to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
- Keep the shop and work area clean and organized
Equipment You'll Work On
- Excavators
- Dozers
- Skid steers
- Mini excavators
- Dump trucks
- Trailers
- Other construction equipment
Qualifications
- Experience working on heavy equipment and diesel engines
- Ability to diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Own basic mechanic tools (preferred)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
Preferred
- CDL (not required)
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Experience with CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Bobcat, or similar equipment
