JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with an established manufacturing firm in search of an HR Generalist to join its team!

Under the direction of the HR Director, the HR Generalist supports a broad range of human resources functions, including recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The HR Generalist will act as a primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance on various HR-related issues while also administering HR policies and programs to foster a positive workplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers, managing the recruitment lifecycle, and ensuring smooth onboarding for new hires
• Assist with the administration of benefits and compensation programs
• Support performance appraisal processes, training managers on feedback, and working on succession planning
• Ensure company policies and practices comply with federal and local employment laws and regulations
• Maintain HR databases, records, and administrative systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees requesting FMLA, PFL, and DBL leave, facilitating claims and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
• Conduct weekly payroll reconciliation and preliminary audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy before transmitting payroll files to external processors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for workers’ compensation audits, collecting and validating required documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and help improve the organization
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5 years’ equivalent experience in Human Resources
• Strong knowledge of employment-related legislation and regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Paylocity HR & Payroll platform experience a plus
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Salary Range

• $75-85k
