Assistant Manager-1st Shift

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive 1st Shift Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our business, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. The Assistant Manager will assist in managing staff, overseeing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Duties

• Assist the Manager in daily operations and staff management.
• Provide leadership and guidance to employees, fostering a positive work environment.
• Conduct employee orientation and training programs to ensure all staff are well-prepared for their roles.
• Oversee cash register operations, including handling transactions and ensuring accurate pricing.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and conducting regular stock checks.
• Implement effective time management strategies to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Participate in interviewing potential candidates to build a strong team.
• Maintain high standards of phone etiquette when interacting with customers and vendors.
• Assist in budgeting processes to help maintain financial health of the business.
• Rotate weekends with the Manager

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on employee development.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Must be willing to take a hair follicle drug screen

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week

• This is primarily a 1st shift position, but we are open 24/7 and this is an on-call position. There may be times when your assistance will be needed on another shift. Are you able to be flexible to accommodate this as needed?
