What You’ll Do:
As a Warehouse / Operations Coordinator at JJ Powell, you’ll keep daily operations running smoothly by managing inventory and coordinating product flow between the warehouse, drivers, and operations team.
Your mission:
- Manage Product Flow: Oversee the daily movement of products in and out of the warehouse, including receiving, staging, and loading deliveries.
- Receive & Verify Shipments: Ensure inbound deliveries match purchase orders and report discrepancies.
- Pick and Stage Orders: Accurately read and fulfill customer, work, and shipping orders; prepare and stage items for delivery.
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy: Track inventory levels, perform regular counts, and provide accurate reporting to Operations.
- Coordinate with Teams: Communicate with drivers and Operations to ensure smooth scheduling, order fulfillment, and paperwork flow.
- Submit & Process Paperwork: Gather, sort, and submit work orders and delivery documentation for billing and invoicing.
- Maintain Warehouse Organization: Keep warehouse and garage clean, organized, and optimized for efficiency and safety.
- Monitor Equipment: Ensure warehouse equipment is in proper working condition and report issues as needed.
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, wear proper PPE, and maintain a secure work environment.
- Support Facility Needs: Assist with general warehouse upkeep, including cleaning, organizing, and minor maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or operations experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret orders, invoices, and shipping documents.
- Comfortable working with inventory systems and basic computer programs.
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with team members.
- Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to learn).
