The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient performance, compliance with company policies, and delivery of excellent guest service. This position provides direction and support to team members, assists with operational and cash-handling, and staffing responsibilities, and maintains Snappy’s standards for service, cleanliness, safety, and organization.
Essential Functions
- Lead team members during assigned shifts by providing direction, delegating tasks, and motivating staff to achieve operational goals.
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting guests, assisting with their needs, and ensuring a positive and consistent guest experience.
- Oversee shift-level store operations, including register management, monitoring transactions, and enforcing cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain store readiness by ensuring shelves are stocked, products are rotated, and all areas are clean, safe, and organized.
- Ensure safety and security by following company procedures, safeguarding inventory, and promoting a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Support employee training by assisting new team members with learning company processes, policies, and Snappy’s guest service standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in retail, food service, or convenience preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and hold staff accountable.
- Basic math and computer skills for cash handling, reporting, and point-of-sale operation.
- RAMP Certification (Server/Seller Trained) required or willingness to complete
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to retail floor traffic, refrigerated storage, and fast-paced conditions.
- Must be able to perform tasks for the duration of the scheduled shift.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately to management.
- This position does not require regular travel.
- Occasional local travel may be requested for training or support at other store locations.
