We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing and cooking menu items efficiently and effectively.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Adhere to proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, culinary terminology, and kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team.
