Physical Requirements
Lifting: The job will involve manual handling (lifting or moving products or equipment). You will be provided with training to undertake manual handling safely, using the equipment provided where necessary.
Physical requirements: pushing, pulling the trolley to carry the above items occasionally.
Equipment: you will be trained to use appropriate equipment depending on the load you are required to lift.

General
- Ensure effective communication amongst teams in the Branch
- Assist with general security of site premises and goods
- Responsible for doing various administrative duties and clerical functions in order to help with streamline on the day-to-day business operations of the branch and the company.
- Ensure that all the teams and services are running smoothly and efficiently
- Ensure that stock losses and adjustments are minimal
- Ensure that customer service targets for collection are met
- Circulate the warehouse and sales floor, talking to colleagues and customers
- Identify and resolve urgent/important issues
- Resolve health and safety, legal and security issues related to the Branch.
- Ensure workplace and work equipment are safe for workers, visitors and contractors.
- Ensure that employees are trained on how to do their job and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines
- Ensure that accidents are investigated and corrective actions taken to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure good housekeeping, and company properties are in good order. (Forklift trucks, racking, vehicles, freezer, computers, etc.)
- Report any damage of the company property to the relevant department
- Ensure that incoming goods are received at the agreed quantities, right temperature and intact packaging. Free from damages, pest infestation.
- Liaise with H&S/QA department on health and safety, food safety issues
- Adhere to reporting procedures in the event of incidents or accidents.
- Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issued by the company is worn at all times in accordance with the job you are performing.
- Ensure compliance with all instructions relating to the use and storage of materials and equipment.
- Remove any risks posed to internal and external customers when carrying out cleaning activities.
- Ensure all cleaning documentation is filled in and report any emergency maintenance requirements.
- To show a professional attitude at all times, particularly with regards to punctuality, appearance and general manner towards internal and external customers.
- Provide feedback to enhance performance and service delivery.
- Seek to improve relations with regard to the provision of efficient communications to facilitate product development and issue management
- To ensure that the company internal/external customer care & equal opportunity policies are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for Health & Safety.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business requirements.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the department and JJ Food Service goals.
