Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor patient health and observe for any changes in condition or behavior
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following proper protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation
- Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring safety at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and care plans
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being
- Follow care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care requirements
- Assist with vital signs monitoring, patient observation, and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals
- Adhere to all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs measurement
- Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature to work effectively with residents and team members
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure resident privacy and confidentiality
- Valid driver’s license preferred for positions involving home visits or community-based care
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
