Role Description The Electrical Superintendent/Field Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Newnan, GA. This role oversees and coordinates electrical construction activities in the field, ensuring work is performed safely, in compliance with codes, and according to project specifications and schedules. Day-to-day tasks include supervising electrical crews, reviewing drawings and technical documents, planning work sequences, and verifying installation quality and testing results. The Electrical Superintendent/Field Engineer collaborates with project managers, safety professionals, and client representatives, prepares daily reports, tracks progress, and assists with resolving technical issues. The role also supports start-up and commissioning activities, participates in inspections, and contributes to continuous improvement of field procedures and project delivery.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in electrical construction or field engineering, preferably within power generation or nuclear facilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable to industrial construction projects.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise field work, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Effective communication and leadership skills for guiding crews, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and interacting with clients.
- Experience with documentation, reporting, and use of project management or construction management software tools.
- Commitment to a strong safety culture and proven ability to enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Relevant technical degree or apprenticeship in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Ability to work on-site in Newnan, GA, including in industrial environments and under varying field conditions.
- Previous nuclear industry or highly regulated environment experience is a plus, along with applicable professional certifications or licenses.
